Chemical peel for skin rejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment designed to improve the skin’s appearance by applying a controlled chemical solution that exfoliates the outer layers of the skin. TREATMENT PROCESS

BEFORE

A detailed skin consultation is carried out to evaluate the patient’s skin type and specific concerns. Based on this assessment, the most suitable peel type and strength are selected. Patients are usually advised to avoid sun exposure, tanning, waxing, exfoliating scrubs, and active skincare ingredients such as retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs for about 5–7 days prior to treatment. Keeping the skin well hydrated and protected from the sun helps prepare the skin for better results.

DURING

The skin is first thoroughly cleansed to remove oil, makeup, and impurities. The selected chemical peel solution is then carefully applied to the treatment area using a brush, gauze, or cotton applicator. Patients may feel a mild tingling, warmth, or slight stinging sensation for a few minutes while the peel is active.

AFTER

Following the peel, the skin may appear slightly red, tight, or sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. In the days following the procedure, the skin may begin to flake or peel, which is a normal part of the renewal process. This usually starts within 2–3 days and can last about 5–7 days, depending on the strength of the peel used. It is important to keep the skin moisturized, avoid picking at peeling skin, and apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily to protect the newly exposed skin. For best results, a series of treatments may be recommended along with a proper medical-grade skincare routine.
